Happy new year, GraphGeeks! As we reflect on 2024 we are grateful for a year of growth, discovery, and graph-powered excitement. And 2025 is looking even brighter. With new sponsorships, expanded initiatives, and even more ways to connect, we’re leveling up in every way possible. Let’s dive into what’s ahead!
Sponsorships: Building a Sustainable Future
Last year, during our open Town Hall, the community overwhelmingly supported the idea of sponsorships. With support from organizations that believe in our mission, we can invest in making GraphGeeks stronger, better, and more sustainable. This marks an important step for us, allowing us to grow and ensure our group is ready to go the distance.
A website refresh is on the way, designed to be an intuitive, streamlined, and feature-packed home for all things GraphGeeks. You’ll find easier navigation, better resources, and up-to-date info on all our exciting activities.
Our Discord hub is also getting an upgrade, with improved organization, and an even smoother experience for text and voice discussions.

More Content, More Engagement
If 2024 was about getting the conversation started, 2025 is about taking it to the next level. We’re expanding our events with more webinars, podcasts, and live AMAs with graph experts.
We’re teaming up with Anisha Designs again to create fun and engaging graphics. If you were at Connected Data London or Data Day Texas, you might remember the print calendars we gave away. We’ll be sharing monthly calendars that you can download and print at home!
On top of that, we’re committing to more blogs and launching a new newsletter to keep you informed on the latest in graphs, community happenings, and insights from experts.
Expanding Our Projects
The Awesome Graph Universe is growing. This go-to collection of graph tools and applications is getting even bigger, with more resources, more libraries, and more ways to find exactly what you need to build your next great project.
We’re also kicking off new code-based projects. We’re reviewing proposals and will be selecting two community-driven initiatives to focus on. Have an idea? Let’s make it happen. Whether it’s an open-source tool, an innovative research project, or a wild idea that just might work, we want to hear from you!

Everything we’re planning for 2025 is shaped by your feedback and enthusiasm. This is the year of bigger collaborations, deeper learning, and even more fun with graphs.
